And here is another one I just received for an event which I think
is less vendor specific, though I believe it generally has substantial
Maple-oriented activity. Again, contact information is included
in the posting.

1996 East Coast Computer Algebra Day
Announcement and Call for Poster Presentations
The Third Annual East Coast Computer Algebra Day will be held at the IBM T.J.
Watson Research Center, Yorktown Heights, New York, on Saturday, April 13,
1996.
Previous meetings in this series were held at Drexel University
(Philadelphia,
PA) and at the University of Delaware (Newark, DE). The purpose of this
meeting
is to stimulate interest in and enhance understanding of the technical
aspects
of computer algebra, by providing a way for those in the region who are
active
or interested in becoming more active in computer algebra to meet with each
other in an inexpensive and easily accessible way.
Technical Program: As in previous years, the meeting will be informal in
nature, with three invited speakers who will address topics covering the
entire
scope of current computer algebra research, including:
* Symbolic, algebraic, numeric, and symbolic-numeric algorithms.
* Computer algebra systems, scientific software, and experience with
implementations of significant algorithms.
* Applications of symbolic, algebraic, and symbolic-numeric algorithms to
problems in the sciences, engineering, economics, and other areas.
Poster Sessions: Two poster sessions are scheduled to allow participants time
for informal discussions of new and ongoing research. Members of the
community
are invited to prepare and submit poster presentations of their current work.
Those who wish to present a poster should send an abstract (not to exceed 300
words) in LaTeX form by electronic mail to eccad96@cs.rpi.edu. Abstracts must
be received by February 15, 1996 to allow time for publication in the SIGSAM
Bulletin.
Vendor Program: Vendor displays and software demonstrations are anticipated.
Members of the community who are interested in presenting a display are
encouraged to contact Robert Sutor. (phone: (716) 243-0788; email:
sutor@watson.ibm.com)
Registration: Registration is FREE. Limited travel support will be available,
pending NSF approval, in the form of travel grants for transportation and
lodging. Applications for travel grants should be submitted no later than
February 15, 1996. The deadline for all registration is April 12, 1996.
Organizing committee: Sam Dooley (Conference Chair), Barry Trager (Technical
Program), Robert Sutor (Vendor Program), Erich Kaltofen (Funding), Austin
Lobo
(Publicity), Tim Daly (Registration), Richard Jenks (Local Arrangements).
