I extended the Zephyr protocol to work between realms. This involved
extensive changes to the server code and minor changes to the clients.

The andrew.cmu.edu (Kerberos realm/AFS cell) uses my modified server,
but, unfortunately, it was never configured to speak to another realm.
So, while I did as much internal testing as I could (using small test
realms), it has never received the kind of stress-testing caused by
real-life use.

The current Zephyr maintainer at CMU has found and fixed some bugs I
left behind, but there's probably some more still out there.

Bottom line: There's probably still some bugs.

I have since graduated from CMU and left for greener pastures. If you
want more information about acquiring source, please contact Wallace
Colyer (wally+@cmu.edu), the head honcho for andrew.cmu.edu.

If you want technical information about the changes I made, please
post to the list, or send me e-mail. I can be more directly reached
as jay@gordian.com.
