I have a couple of Win XP machines using Office XP
I have a working, healthy, proven Powerpoint presentation which has two
AVI's inserted into slides.

This presentation runs fine on my Win2K / Office 2k Machines. However, in
Office XP, the AVI's show up as still frames. The AVI's won't run. When I
try to rebuild these slides by reinserting the AVI's (as objects or as
Movie clips) I get the message that this is an unknown file type, or, if I
use drag and drop, I am told that there is a driver missing. Thes AVI
files play fine on the same machine in Media Player.

I did a standard (take the defaults) install of Office XP. I am logged on
with admin priv's

Anybody got any ideas?

thanks
