Hi Mike,
It sounds like you are having an issue with your new user sid (a unique
number) with privileges and cached profiles related to your old user
sid. By deleting the account and recreating it, you have a new user sid
and permissions need to be reassigned for everything you had access to
before to the new user sid.
Because you have Administrative access, something may be giving you access
as an Administrator, but not as a user. I am guessing, but the machines
that are kicking you out, probably have a cached password stored from a
previous login. By default, NT workstations cache your password for up to
10 logins if you cannot access a domain controller for authentication. The
machines were you are getting errors about the Roaming Profiles is likely
related to the profile pointing to the username, but the permissions being
assigned by user sid.
The not being able to create a temporary profile maybe a permissions issue
that rebooting the workstation may resolve. It may help other issues as
well. If you have system policies in place that are distributed from the
domain controllers, you may want force a replication.
This is one of the reasons why deleting an account without the user really
being gone is recommended against.
