interfaces with MIT’s payroll system and SAP to provide a consistent planning

Analyst Programmer III, Financial Systems Services, to provide technical
support
for MIT's SAP Labor Distribution System implementation. Particular emphasis
will be on programming in SAP's ABAP/4 programming language and developing
knowledge of SAP transactions and database table structures. Will work closely
with business and operations personnel to see that business requirements and
system needs are met (including technical and operational documentation). Will
ensure that components are integrated, and adhere to prevailing standards when
performing analysis, implementation, documentation, and testing of facilities
or services. Will assume responsibility for design and development of
interface
programs and reports, and design and development of programs and databases to
address requirements for data conversion. Will test and debug applications in
conjunction with business analysts and users, and develop programs for
automatic correction of erroneous data. Opportunities will be available for
continued training and growth.
Required skills: BA in computer science or related technical area, and four to
eight years’ in the development and implementation (including project
leadership) of on-line and batch applications utilizing a database management
system, preferably in an administrative environment. Three years of C (or
other
comparable programming language) design and programming experience. Experience
with SAP and ABAP/4 programming language is preferred. Job No. 00-0344
