JAVA OBJECT DESIGNER AND DEVELOPER (Senior Analyst Programmer), Information
Systems, to help design and implement a Java object layer to wrap MIT's
infrastructure and some of the central system interfaces. Will work in a
team and provide Java skills mentoring for some of the group.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: 4 years' design and development
experience,including substantial work involving Java and RMI UNIX, web
development, and C/C++ experience. Strong analytical skills. Strong
customer service orientation including the ability to understand customer
requirements. Must be able to interact effectively with other technical
staff as well as customers through strong written and verbal
communications. Strong initiative. Ability to collaborate, lead and
influence.
DESIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: Familiarity with security issues and use
of Kerberos. Data modeling, Oracle, Apache web, and Perl/OraPerl skills
Project management experience. Familiarity with MIT or other academic
