Hello,
Microsoft released NT 4.0 Service Pack 6 yesterday. IS does not recommend
upgrading to SP6 at this time. We expect to release information and
recommendations for support of SP5 with hotfixes within the next 2
weeks. Once that has occurred, we will begin evaluating SP6 for the MIT
environment. I repeat, IS does NOT recommend upgrading to SP6 at this time.
For those of you who wish to test it out in a TEST environment it can be
obtained from
http://www.microsoft.com/ntserver/nts/downloads/recommended/PREM_SP6/allSP6.asp
If you do install it, please send me your feedback because we will be
asking you for it in the future when we evaluate it.
Please note that IS will not be able to provide support for problems
encountered with SP6 at this time.
