NT User profiles

Hi,
We have a PC running NT 4 workstation. The hard drive where the WinNT folder
with the original user profiles were generated became full and some of the
existing user profiles were moved to another disk.
New user profiles were generated by NT when the user logged on to the
system. They no longer have access to their original profiles, which they
want to do. I can't move the files back to where they were because there is
not enough room.
I've tried to assign the relocated to the user account with the "user
profile path" but that didn't seem to work.
Any ideas??
