This student probably has Netscape Navigator 4.05 and the newsgroup reader
is not part of Navigator in this version. Have him download netscape
Communicator 4.05 (Not MIT supported) and it is included in there.
Once that is installed just go into Edit > Preferences and in the category
section, expand the Mail & Groups outline then select Groups Server. The
information in the Discussion groups (news) server: should be
"news.mit.edu".
The Netscape Icon on the menu bar is where they will find the Collabra
Discussion Groups.
