There is a useful Mac networking product called DAVE 2.0 (Thursby Software
Systems) which gives Macs NETBIOS capability and, thus, Microsoft Windows
networking. One can use Windows resources from the Mac just as if they
were on a PC, and can also share resources on the net for use by PCs.
We've been playing around with it and it seems to do what it claims. You
can find more info at
http://www.thursby.com/
or
http://www.macconnection.com/scripts/productdetail.asp?product_id=70740
NECX does not appear to carry it; retail cost at PC Connection is $124.95,
single user.
