Hi folks,
I'm new over in the Property Office. I'm trying to intall an IOMEGA ZIP
Drive (parallel port) on my NT machine (Dell Optiplex GXL 5100). I have
intalled the "sparrow" driver as the Ntreadme.txt file (on intall disk #2)
indicates:
Native Driver Installation under Windows NT 4.0
1. Click Start, point to Settings, then click Control
Panel.
2. Double click "SCSI Adapters."
3. Select the "Drivers" tab and click the "Add" button.
4. Select "Adaptec" from the list of manufacturers.
5. When the list of Adaptec SCSI Adapters displays, select
the driver needed for your adapter:
for Jaz jet ISA, Zip zoom, or PC1600,
click on "Adaptec AHA-152x/AHA-1510 SCSI Host
Adapter"
6. Click "Next" to continue, then click "OK" for Windows
NT to install the necessary adapter drivers on your
system.
7. Click "OK" to exit. Note that you need to reboot your
system for the new drivers to take effect.
When I reboot, the driver "Sparrow" fails to start as indicated by the
system log using the event viewer. The NT Diagnostic shows that its startup
type is boot. I can't run setup because it needs to see a "tools" zip-disk
that is in the zip drive and it can't.
Anyone have any suggestions?
