This coming Sunday the Boston Vegetarian Society
will host its annual August "Dog Days" Vegetarian Summer Picnic
at Merrymount Park in Quincy.

Sunday, August 11, from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM.

Potluck picnics are for YOU to bring vegetarian food
to share with others - 8-10 OTHER hungry vegetarians.

Great foods for the uninitiated are
watermelons, gallon of apple cider, etc.

More experienced vegetarians should consider
bringing prepared dishes (vegan preferred, of course,
even if one is NOT - yet - a vegan - or even if one
is "on the path" - perhaps as a a semi-vegetarian)
sufficient to serve 8-10 hungry vegetarians
(no meat, flesh, fish, fowl) - and vegan is
vegetarian with no eggs, dairy, honey, bonemeal, etc.

For directions, call Evelyn Kimber at 617-424-8846,
who can tell you how to drive there.

Anyone who has a car and would offer to drive others
from ANY area in New England, or who needs a ride
from anywhere in Eastern Massachusetts, please
e-mail us here at the VRC and
indicate your need for a ride to the picnic.

Any questions, e-mail us at vrc@tiac.net
or bvspicnic@vegetarian.org
