I'd like to find out about any federal or state laws that might be out there
regarding mandatory university meal plans and students with special diets. I
would think that there might be some sort of protection for people with
religious dietary restrictions (e.g. kosher) or allergies when the dining halls
are unable/unwilling to accomodate their diet. Such laws, if any exist, should
also apply to vegatarians/vegans (similar to the laws that protect students who
have conscientous objections to dissection...)

I'd like to set up a web site as a resource for student vegetarians and student
veg societies dealing with this and other issues. If you have any suggestions,
or know of other college (or high school!) veg org URLs, please let me know.

Thanks,
Lucy
