So I was browsing around http://www.peta.org (People Eating Tasty
Animals - a "resource for those who enjoy eating meat, wearing fur
and leather, hunting, and the fruits of scientific research."

and I came across the "British Meat" site. Eager to see what they had
to say about mad cow disease, I jumped there
(http://www.britishmeat.org.uk/home.html) and immediately to
"Safeguarding Our Meat." I really couldnt imagine *what* they could
possibly have to say, which, I suppose, explains what I did find there:
nothing.
No text, anyway -- just 7 pictures of beef dishes, captioned
with the days of the week, and a final caption reading "EVERYDAY"

Not quite sure with what eating meat everyday has to do with safeguarding it.
Maybe they mean they eat meat everyday, go insane, and think its
perfectly safe as is?

PS I also checked out one of the fur sites, which criticized varoius
celebrities for hypocritically
embracing the anti-fur movement. While some of their criticisms were valid
(though not necessarily relevant - someone who doesnt wear fur, but does wear
leather,
is nevertheless correct in saying that it is cruel & unnecessary to wear fur),
some (this in paticular) were a bit ridiculous:

"Woody Harrelson . . . he's a PETAphile who protests against the killing of
animals. He just stars in movies -- like Natural Born Killers -- where he
seems to
     enjoy killing human beings. "
