COMMITTEE ON STUDENT AFFAIRS TO HOLD FOCUS GROUP ON FOOD SERVICE
The Institute Committee on Student Affairs will hold a large
focus group on MIT Food Service this Wednesday, January 17, from 11
a.m. to 12 p.m. in Twenty Chimneys. For this event, up to fifty
"customers" will be given vouchers to purchase lunch for free from the
Student Center eateries. These fifty will then break into small focus
groups to discuss the following issues: quality of food, cost of food,
hours of access, location of food services, and compulsory meal plans.
The reactions and complaints received from this event will be
reviewed by agencies and groups involved with food service at MIT,
including Aramark (MIT's food service contractor), the Department of
Housing and Food Services, the Committee on Student Affairs, and the
soon to be formed Food Service Board. To attend the event and reserve
