Some new members have been added to this list because you signed up at
our booth at HealthFest '94. Thanks for your interest, and here is some
relevant information:
The MIT Vegetarian Support Group is a very informal organization
interested in vegetarian issues. Membership is free, noncommittal and
comes with NO requirements (being vegetarian is not a prerequisite).
Its activities include:
- an electronic mailing list, vsg@mit.edu, for general
discussion
- a directory on Athena with various information (printouts of
which were displayed at the Healthfest)
- occasional informal social events, such as potluck or communal
meals
- reserved advocacy for vegetarianism (such as working with the
MIT Food Service, the MIT Medical Dept., participating in
Healthfest, participating in R/O week, etc.
This is a new and growing activity, and your involvement can shape its
future.
Anyway, you wanted the information we had on the table at HealthFest.
It can be viewed in one of two ways:
1. Look in /mit/arf if you know how to do that.
2. Look at the BRAND NEW VSG WWW Home Page. (this is easy to do)
Instructions for the Home Page (the easier way):

You can click on the text underlined in blue -- that will get you to
another section. You can click on 'back' at the bottom of the screen to
go back. It is called a 'web' because each element has a connection to
other elements, and connections can point anywhere in the world.
