On this list we seem to be interested in the upcoming local vegetarian
thanksgiving dinners.
Is anyone here going to the Boston Vegetarian Society's 13th Annual
Vegetarian Thanksgiving Dinner?
A local mailing by the BVS suggested Wednesday November 23.
Actually, there are TWO public vegetarian thanksgiving dinners in Boston,
both at the Country Life Vegetarian Restaurant.
200 High Street at Broad Street, downtown financial district, Boston.
Wednesday evening, November 22 (3rd Wednesday),
5:00 - 8:30 PM $10, Children under 9 $5.
Thursday afternoon, November 23,
1:00 - 4:00 PM, about $23 per person.
In previous years anyone wanting to produce a local vegetarian thanksgiving
dinner was able to get a set of free recipes and press release forms from
FARM (Farm Animal Reform Movement) - 1-800-MEATOUT and 301-530-1737.
Oh, yes - there is also "Fur Free Friday" on the Friday following
Thanksgiving. In Boston we expect activists will picket in Downtown
Crossing (red and orange MBTA lines).
