Yes, as a matter of fact, I have heard that Pizza Hut uses synthetic rennet
in all their cheeses. I couldn't tell you how long they have been doing
this, but it's been a while since I heard this news.

What is the general feeling among members of this group about eating cheese
made with rennet? Personal feeling is that if you are going to eat cheese
it is very difficult to determine which ones use rennet, so best to either
avoid it entirely or don't worry about it. FYI, Laverde's
happens to carry rennet-less cheese. Anybody know if rennet cheese is
kosher or not? I doubt it.

(For those who don't know, rennet is an enzyme used to make many types of
cheeses which is taken from the lining of a calf's stomach.)
