The dvorak VS3100 in E40-342 (elric?) was stuck in auto update for a day
because the auto update script attempted to print too much to the console
(the VAX qv/sm console drivers suspend output if more than a few lines are
written at a time, until someone presses a key on the keyboard). This may
be related to the large number of services on this machine, or because it
was done by auto update instead of /srvd/update_ws.
