Hi Jared -
    Thanks for the suggestion. I think it's pretty probable that we'll
add the terminal icon back to the panel for the final release. In the
mean time, you can add it to the panel yourself:

 * Right click on the panel and choose "Add to Panel..."
 * Select "Application Launcher..." and click Forward
 * Find "Terminal" under the "Accessories" menu and click Add
 * Then click Close

You should be able to drag the icon around to position it where you
want, although you may need to right click on other panel elements and
uncheck "Lock to panel" if you want to move those around as well.
