There's another issue floating around with some hardware (very
suspiciously it's other 2.8Ghz IBM hardware) where the clock ran at
double-speed. I'm guessing we've been screwed by an overbroad fix for
that. (I'll poke around more after a meeting, but 163347 in Red Hat's
bugzilla is an example of the older problem.)
