Thanks for reporting this. This appears to be a result of gaim finding
the Solaris-native version of libgnutls and using it. I'm not sure what
bit of code is at fault, but using the Mozilla NSS libraries instead (as
we do on Linux) makes everything work.
I'll fix this in a patch release soon.
