I've tried running /usr/athena/bin/gaim on 9.4 Solaris machines.
I've tested on two SunBlade 100's and one SunBlade 1500: on all
machines, Gaim opens with a login screen that asks me to type a
password. I do. Gaim then briefly flashes up some sort of
progress bar, but doesn't have time to do anything -- the
progress bar vanishes almost as soon as it appears, and Gaim dies:
cruella-de-vil{103}$ gaim
Bus Error
Gaim login works from the Linux machines.
(It logs me into a discussion that I don't understand,
but that's a different issue.)
