If this happens again, what should I do to save some useful state?

I logged in, and the first thing I did was start Evolution.
(Actually, I clicked on the console Hide button, and clicked away the
gmotd z-gram to be TOTALLY accurate.)
Instead of starting, it popped up a dialog box saying
it seg faulted.

I logged out, logged back in again, and started Evolution again.
Now it seems fine.

Again, this is under Linux 9.2.13.
