Remember that sawfish is not part of GNOME 2.2 and that Evolution 1.2 is
still a GNOME 1 program.  (Evolution 1.4 is out, and it's a GNOME 2
program, but it came out very recently and isn't part of the release. 
I've put some time into integrating it, but it might or might not make
it into 9.2 during the summer.)
