less filename does not display file

On a Linux 9.2.7 machine, "less filename.txt" does not actually show the 
file, when the .cshrc.mine prints stuff.  Instead, it appears that 
.cshrc.mine is executed, and the output of that is displayed instead. 
As I learned recently, the .cshrc.mine file is not supposed to print 
anything, so I don't know whether this qualifies as a bug or not. 
"some_command | less" however, worked perfectly fine.

On test.dialup, though, "less filename.txt" works perfectly fine, as 
does piping a command into less.

I've had no problems with less'ing files on any 9.1 machine.
