Sorry, I fired that one off a little quickly. The important variable is
ATHENA_LOGIN_SESSION.
(It may be that we don't really have to run gconfd from GConf 2 under
dustbuster. I've noticed that processes created by GNOME 2's
bonobo-activation-server seem to die on their own at logout, though I
don't know through what mechanism.)
