Hi,
Is the screen updating slowness on Suns supposed to be fixed by now?
On our 9.2 test machine central (Blade 100) running 9.2.6, it can take
up to 8 sec. to select about 3 inches of text in a
gterm... unfortunately this isn't consistently reproducible- we seem
to get terminal windows in this state but aren't sure what did
it. Opening new ones when one is in this state usually doesn't exhibit
this behavior in the new one. But it happens often enough to be quite
annoying.
Possibly related to this is a slowness in "click-to-focus" I've seen
(in 9.1 as well as 9.2)- sometimes (but also not reproducibly), clicking in
a window to move focus there takes up tp several seconds to take effect.
central was recently reinstalled (at 9.2.5 I think) so I don't think it
has corrupted files.
