If you are still having this problem?
If so, did you do all the business about creating a krb5 keytab and
whatnot as detailed at
http://web.mit.edu/olh/Private/Private.html#REF25008? Are there any
blank lines in /etc/passwd (there shouldn't be) and does the entry
there match what "hesinfo USERNAME passwd" produces? You should also
check /etc/shadow, and /etc/athena/access, if applicable (documented
at http://web.mit.edu/olh/Private/Private.html#REF11527).
Once I got things configured correctly, I was able to ssh and telnet
normally between my 9.0 machines.
