Mitch and I noticed another weirdness where the panel will appear at
the bottom of the screen (fully drawn, if you're lucky) pop up to the
top, and then return to the bottom and be normal from there on in.
I don't know if this happens on all platforms, but it does on the
Sparc 5 I've been testing with, and whatever Mitch had logged in on...
