I am using last year's ktelnet to get from my linux system at home in to
my MIT 9.0 linux system.

I know that there's a known SIGURG bug that was causing trouble when one
types ^C, but I thought it was fixed. I have the dim memory of being
able to type ^C while composing a zwrite and having it work in the past.

Now if I am ktelnet'ed to my 9.0, and type ^C during composing
a zwrite, the connection hangs. X applications that were started with
that session continue to work.
