Hello...

fingerd does not work properly on cutter-john.mit.edu, SIPB's linux
athena 9.0 alpha machine.  It is configured to be run by xinetd, and
on establishing a connection to port 79 the in.fingerd process is
running as a child of xinetd.  However, the first newline sent over
the connection, either after specifying nothing or after specifying
the name of a user (whether or not currently logged in) causes the
connection to be immediately closed, without transmitting any
information.
