I have propagated a slew of xalf fixes to 9.0. Launching stuff from
gnome seems to work now. I'm not sure if the cursor hourglass is
actually working (it doesn't work with a remote display, and it adds
about a five-second delay as it fails to work, but I haven't tested
with a local display), but gnomecc and launching stuff from the panel
actually seems to work now.
Linux people will need to reinstall the athena-xalf RPM. I've done so
on cutter-john. "rpm -qi athena-xalf" should show a build date of
April 15 if you have the new version.
Here's an interesting new RPM bug, just for kicks:
