I updated from 8.4.22 to 8.4.24 to 9.0 this morning. Upon logging in, I
noticed that my password was displayed as a I typed it.
The only major difference (I think) between this machine and a standard
cluster machine is that I'm running XFree 4.0.2 rather than the athena
default. There were also some error/warning messages during the update,
though none of them shouted "I'm going to show your password now." I
can put the update log somewhere public if that's useful.
