gnome-panel and zephyr windowgrams

I'm trying out bleeding-edge linux athena for the first time.
The gnome panel's task list puts up a clickable button for each
window -- including each zephyrgram.  For more than 20 zephyrgrams,
the clickable buttons become a mass of unreadable, tiny icons.

It'd be great if there were a way to configure the tasklist to
ignore windowgrams.  Unfortunately, when I glance at the config
window, it doesn't look like this is possible.
