Solaris "continually update" problem

So, there was a window between maybe 5pm last night and about 10am
this morning where, if you took the 8.4 update on a Solaris machine,
your machine will continually re-take the update and not actually boot
into the new release.
Fixing a machine in this state is a little difficult (you can't just
reset the boot partition; you have to boot into the swap partition
single-user, start AFS, and install the boot blocks). If you are
affected by this problem, please let me know. I will either come up
with instructions or, if the machine is close by, attempt to fix it
myself.
