Thanks. I've submitted a patch to make MakeTeXPK fail silently, which
gets us back to the 8.2 behavior.
I'd also like to add to the list of useful font resolutions. I'm a
little puzzled about the fonts in the newtex locker; for instance,
cmss10 is built at {300,600,657,720,864}, but cmcsc10 is built at
{300,360,420,480,540,600,657,720,864,1037,1244,1493,1792,2150}. At
any rate, the cmcsc10 sizes look like the maximal set; I will look at
space usage and decide what subset of those to add.
