So, I was a little confused. I thought the message you're seeing:
sourcing .environment...
was coming from the standard dotfiles, but in fact, it looks like it's
of your own creation. So ~/.hushlogin isn't relevant.
For scp and rcp to work, .cshrc should be silent, even when run the
first time.
