There's possibly some weird stuff going on with running special login
options from xlogin, at least on O2s.
(We were seeing things get run simultaneously with xlogin, and once
even managed to get the Irix xlogin screen to pop up.)
This is mostly a note to remind me to investigate further if no one
else does.
