When I'm root and type the passwd command to change the root
password on my private workstation, I get the following:
MOZART.mit.edu# passwd
Running local password-changing program.
passwd: Changing password for nschmidt
passwd(SYSTEM): nschmidt does not exist
Permission denied
Am I reading the system release notes incorrectly, or is this a
bug?
