I got an answer from SGI -- It's been assigned a bug number, but no word on
when a patch might be forthcoming.  Possible workarounds:  1) Recompile the
program as n32 (the bug only affects o32 binaries); 2) tune the kernel to
change the default limit; 3) change the code to set a limit that works.
