snow-goon hung

So, I was walking thru the zone, and I noticed that snow-goon appeared
to be hung in the middle of an auto-update. It was in the middle of
mkserv (the last hting printed was repointing root symlinks before
synctree). Right after the mkserv output was a line that said
somethign like:
NFS server for volume management (/vol) not resopnding, still trying.
I left it there but though people would want to know.
