The 8.2 login program is crashing on Irix 6.2; from a process trace, it
seems to be dying almost immediately, perhaps before entering main().
I tried building it from the current source in order to debug it, and
that version does not crash.
I believe the same problem was occurring a while back, then went away
when the srvd was rebuilt.
