BIND 8 can be taught to allow illegal names in some fashion via the
named.conf file. I was looking at the docs for Solaris 2.6 named and found
no such configuration setting.
I think we should do whatever the relevant RFCs say to do. I know that
BIND defaults are sometimes wacky, but I don't know how strict they are
compared to what the RFCs say...
