I've noticed that on the two Sun alpha cluster machines here in
N42 (small and ramjet), X has been consistantly failing to restart
whenever someone logs out. After logging out, the error message

"Unable to start X. Doing console login instead"

is displayed, and a console login prompt is put on the screen. ^P at
this prompt does not start X, but a ^D will, as will logging in at the
console prompt and then logging out will also restart Xlogin. There
doesn't seem to be any correlation between the X applications running
and the bug as well. So far I've personally tested it with my account,
the OLC guest account, and root on both machines, and the behviour is
consistant. Both machines are standard Sparc 4's. I haven't noticed a
similiar problem under the SGI test machines, but they have seen far
less usage.

On a different note, it seems there's a bug to be found in
/usr/athena/lib, in that there's no "zephyr" subdirectory, so that the
default zwgc.desc machine is kept in /usr/athena/lib/zwgc.desc, not
/usr/athena/lib/zephyr/zwgc.desc, which causes zwgc to print an error
message when starting up if the user doesn't have their own .zwgc.desc
file.
