We can probably get away with just ignorning this one, as we're
scheduled to do a minor upgrade to Xess 3.1 anyway, and 3.1 seems to
work fine. We can just move up the upgrade schedule...
However, maybe someone can explain to me what changed in 8.1 so that the
following is true:
On bledsoe, 8.1 SGI, I get the following:
athena% setenv DISPLAY bledsoe:0
athena% add xess
athena% xess
Error: Can't Open Display
This is also true when I xhost +bledsoe on dorian (an 8.0 SGI) and try
to display from 8.1 to 8.0. Both scenerios work when running xess on an
8.0 SGI. Xess under 8.1 does try to run with DISPLAY=:0, but core
dumps.
