I didn't think the backing store issue could be breaking AutoCAD, and
it's not. I ran the following tests:
CPU Display Result
--- ------- ------
8.1 SGI 8.1 SGI breaks
8.1 SGI 8.0 SGI works
8.0 SGI 8.1 SGI breaks
So, I'd guess it was something with the X server. Did the kernel patch
include anything for the server?
I also tried digging around the SGI and AutoCAD home pages, but could
not find anything useful. AutoDesk is desupporting UNIX as of Release
13 (the last release we have) and is likely to be less than useful.
