Well, since I also have an 8.0 SGI and sun, I figured I'd look into
this.  It turns out that rloging into machines from an SGI has the
same problem that rlogging into machines from a sun does.
Specifically it does not properly set the window size (presumably
because it's ignoring urgent data, rather than dropping the connection
when it gets too much of it).  I was able to reporduce the problem you
reported when logged into my sun from my SGI.  I corrected the problem
by running xresize (after making sure I had the new version of the
alias (if you'll recall xresize was broken and recently fixed)) and
restarting my moira client.  I don't think there is a bug here (other
than the fact that rlogin doesn't properly determine the window size,
and I understand that that problem is too hard to fix).
