I am SO GLAD Ezra mentioned this.
We DO need to examine the NGROUPS issue.
Here's why:
When I log onto my DECStation, it loads up all my groups (>16)
When I run the library application to browse images, it contacts an
RS/6000 NFS server.
The NFS server replies "Access Denied".
Could we please have a discussion about what the CORRECT behavior is for
number of groups?
Suns and RS/6000's impose a limit of 16 and the RS/6000 NFS server complies.
The DECStation is currently liberal about the number of groups it
supports but people get screwed when they use my Library service.
Richard, can you enlighten us about the ancient NGROUPS fix you formulated
to solve this all.
