This is a new feature you're tripping over. This feature is that all
network X connections (including connections from the local host made
via hostname:0 or localhost:0) are disallowed by default for security
reasons.

I suggest you enter ":0" for your display number at that prompt - that
connects via the non-network X connection, which is always allowed.

Connecting via :0 is also a more efficient connection, and is the
recommended path whenever connecting to the local display.

Your other option, of course, is to xhost slingshot. However, this is
bypassing the security feature.
